Today marks the debut of Rawckus Magazine’s new video series, called In The Garage With Rawckus Magazine.

In The Garage

War Gods Of The Deep

We hope to make this a regular feature on Rawckus, encompassing music reviews, music premieres, and artist interviews. Today’s inaugural vide presents an overview of three forthcoming LPs: Uwmami’s Summer Series LP, War Gods of the Deep’s Action Space Battle LP, and Workshed’s self-titled LP.

Uwmami’s Summer Series LP

Ireland’s talented singer-songwriter and producer Uwmami will drop her Summer Series LP, on August 30. The album features 10-tracks which were released every Friday during July and August, all curated, produced, and mixed by Uwmami.

The goal of the project, according to Uwmami, “was to create an alternative Irish time capsule, melding together the styles of some of the most interesting and exciting voices in the burgeoning scene into a genre-bending summer experiment. These include Rogan, Omo Aston, Kaoimi, Bonnie Spencer, Eiffe, Chahyld, Aaron Everything and Awesimon. The cover art was done by Nonzus Magnus.”

War Gods Of The Deep – Action Space Battle

Chicago’s heavy metal power rock band War Gods Of The Deep will drop Action Space Battle, on September 17, on Astro Dragon Records. The album features Rikk Currence, who does it all: plays all instruments, recorded, engineered, mixed, and produced.

Embracing 10-tracks, Action Space Battle’s best tracks, from a purely subjective perspective, include “Sons Of The Serpent,” “Beautiful Oblivion,” “The Machine,” “Light Of Your Soul,” and my personal favorite – “Horizon.”

If you’re into hard rock full of powerful guitars, dazzling rasping vocals backed by delicious harmonies, and potently contagious rhythms, then this album is just what the doctor ordered.

Workshed – Self-titled LP

Adam Lehan (guitar, bass, vocals) and Mark Wharton (drums, percussion) formed Workshed in 2014. Both musicians are former members of doom outfit Cathedral.

They recently released the audio video for one track, “On Sticks of Wood,” on YouTube, as an appetizer for the imminent album, which blends starkly powerful doom elements with sludge, thrash, and stoner savors. It’s some of the best doom music released in a long while.
