KAZ BIELINSKI DAZZLES ON SUMPTUOUS ‘LOVE SITUATION’
L.A.-based singer-songwriter Kaz Bielinski recently released a new single, “Love Situation,” a song from his newest album, KAZ.

Kaz grew up in the Silver Lake District listening to the Beatles, lip-syncing the lyrics of the Fab Four in front of a mirror. Imploring his parents to buy him a guitar and a piano, upon receiving the instruments, Kaz started writing his own music and lyrics.
Later, while in junior high school, he put together a pop band – The Illusions, who played on The Ben Hunter Matinee and were featured in the L.A. Times. Once he graduated from high school, Kaz was determined to be the world’s greatest songwriter. He attended UCLA, studying political science while writing songs in his spare time.
After taking his degree from UCLA, Kaz took a job as a cab driver because it gave him time to compose music. As soon as a song was finished, he sent it off to the big labels and music publishers. He kept it up for seven years, and then learned computer programming, enabling him to quit driving a cab and work in IT. Through it all, he kept writing and performing. Eventually, he studied Clinical Psychology, taking his Master’s degree from Pepperdine University, followed by working with L.A.’s troubled youth, who found it cool to have a psychologist who was in a band.

According to Kaz, “I want to inspire people. I want to write songs that people not only in the whirlwind of romance can relate to but also peoples in all stages of, life, love, as well as loss.”
Last year, Kaz released his album, KAZ, featuring the talents of Tim Pierce (guitar), Matt Laug (drums), Lance Morrison (bass), Zac Rae (keys), and Eric Berdon (acoustic guitar, backing vocals, programming), a delicious album replete various stylistic sounds, smooth and geared toward adult contemporary pop and rock listeners.
“Love Situation” features a velvety jazz-flavored melody with hints of sensuous Latin-infused colors, vaguely reminiscent of Sade’s sophisti-pop music. Glinting guitars give off cashmere timbres, while a suave saxophone imbues the tune with scrumptious seductive tones. The mood and feel of the song deliver low-slung quixotic savors dripping with elegance.
Kaz’s honeyed voice, silky with polished tones, gives the lyrics elusive tantalizing, voluptuous coloration.
