Explaining the song, the duo shares, it’s a song “about true love which is bound to always prevail despite difficulty and separation.”

JamLive consists of J (vocals) and Jacob (drums), who first met each other on high school. Later, because of their musical chemistry and common creative vision, they joined forces. Their sound blends savors of rock, hip-hop, and alternative music, and is influenced by bands such as Radiohead, Coldplay, The Script, U2, Eminem, and the Deftones.

Talking about the single/music video’s genesis, J says, it reflects “longing for true and deep love, finding a soulmate.”

Jacob adds, “For the video, the instant attraction to someone that you can feel from only a glance, the fear of rejection, and when you can’t help but imagine a future with someone you have only just met.”

When the measured rhythm takes hold, gleaming filaments of sonic textures glow and glide overhead.

The video, produced by Joe Egan and directed by J and Jacob, depicts the duo on a vast desolate beach, followed by cutting to a party, where a romance is budding between a young man and a young woman. As their rapport expands, viewers watch as the relationship blossoms and then fades: closeness is replaced by distance, love by begrudging tolerance.

Yet in the end, the probability of love proving triumphant appears.

“Stay” opens on soft emerging tones, followed by J’s deliciously flavored falsetto, infusing the lyrics with tantalizing wisps of tenderness, longing, and palpable desire. When the measured rhythm takes hold, gleaming filaments of sonic textures glow and glide overhead.

The mood and feel of the music make no pretense of stoic resignation. Instead, it surges with the yearning for the seemingly unattainable – the splendor of love.

JamLive has it going on! “Stay” is wonderfully wrought, offering sweeping layers of extensive coloration and impressive vocals.
