Consisting of Nate Hohman (guitar, vocals), Carlo Ribaux (drums), Jace (bass), and Beaux (lead vocals), BeauxX is the brainchild of Darla Beaux. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where she grew up surrounded by music, by the time she was ten-years-old Beaux was bewitched by show business. While attending a performance arts school in Las Vegas, she not only polished her skills as an actress and dancer, but discovered her passion for singing.

Later, she premiered her EP, Rebel Soul, on Ryanseacrest.com, making a big splash with her innovative sound. Girls Life Magazine called her “the new teen queen.” After winning the Teen Category in the Unsigned Only Music Competition, Beaux attended the summer program at the Berklee College of Music.

BeauxX is already creating a buzz. The band has played The Viper Room, The Study, The Whisky a Go-Go, The Canyon Club, and is scheduled to perform at Luck Strike LA near the end of April.

Beaux’s voice is reminiscent of a raspier, skintight version of Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall, radiating controlled riot grrrl textures and viciously intense flair.

“Thing One” opens on a rolling snare flowing into a pulsing bass line, followed by the entry of a tight guitar and Beaux’s voice. A tumbling bridge introduces a tightly-flavored chorus infused with tasty penetrating guitar licks. Propelled by a rough tough rhythm full of charging energy, the melody blends pop and grungy punk ingredients into a contagious harmonic concoction.

A change of cadence announces a shifting breakdown decked out with a searing guitar solo, imbuing the tune with slow-burning palpable colors and rumbling surfaces.

Beaux’s voice is reminiscent of a raspier, skintight version of Tonight Alive’s Jenna McDougall, radiating controlled riot grrrl textures and viciously intense flair. It’s a voice full of sizzling projection highlighted by Beaux’s charismatic presence and dynamic delivery.

“Thing One” exudes vehement sonic momentum, potent infectious rhythmic impetus, and the delicious hugger mugger tones of Beaux.
