The musical project of Stefan Poole, STF garnered attention when he landed a role on FOX’s hit series Glee. When the series took a break, STF, who speaks fluent Italian and holds dual citizenship in Italy and the U.S., appeared on the Italian television show Amici, a hybrid of American Idol and reality TV’s Big Brother. Because of Amici, Poole experienced the weird and wonderful aura of instant fame. The transitory nature of fame was disconcerting.

Poole told Rock Your Lyrics, “I was always focused on the music, so to have people talking about me for something other than that, and then to have it go away so fast, it was hard. It was also bad timing because I didn’t have any music ready while the show was airing, so I didn’t capitalize on the moment.”

He followed by touring with Bridget Mendler, Andy Grammer, and Jack & Jack.

The video is a trip, displaying a series of gorgeous females dressed in blue jeans and white tops, all with shaved heads.

While growing up, Poole, aka STF, profited enormously from the guidance of gifted, remarkable women. The video for “Boyish Looks” depicts the varying nuances of female beauty. In each instance, regardless of size, shape, personality, or race, each casts forth a beauty so extraordinary it seems to have a vitality of its own.

“Boyish Looks” opens on a dark soul groove flavored with filaments of dance-pop dynamics. A cavernous bass line and crisp, crunching percussion drive the measured rhythm, as STF’s smoldering sensual voice rides atop the polished harmonics.

On the chorus, a skintight skiffing guitar infuses the tune with glistening metallic accents. The solo section drips tumescent hues, as hushed tones glide over a compact guitar solo.

The video is a trip, displaying a series of gorgeous females dressed in blue jeans and white tops, all with shaved heads. There’s a sense of erotic imminence to the androgynous look, which for reasons mysterious and inscrutable, are aesthetically exciting.

“Boyish Looks” delivers a burnished glossy harmonic flow full of oozing voluptuous savors, along with the sizzling seduction of STF’s smooth, sexy voice.
