NOISE POP FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FINAL MUSIC LINEUP

iLoveMakonnen (on a Tuesday) Day Wave, Wax Idols, and More Join Metric, American Football, Carly Rae Jepsen, The Mountain Goats, Vince Staples, Neon Indian, DIIV, Bill Callahan, and Kamasi Washington

Noise Pop Festival, the Bay Area’s premier indie music and arts festival, announces the final music and film lineups for the festival February 19–28 at venues and theaters around the Bay Area. Multiple badge options are available for those who want access to only music or film as well as for those who want to experience everything the festival has to offer. Badges and individual tickets for already announced shows can be purchased at noisepop.com/2016/buy-badges/.Tickets for artists just announced will go on sale this Friday, January 29 at noon PST

The additional music artists just announced rounding out the Noise Pop lineup includes Atlanta hip-hop artist iLoveMakonnen, who gained widespread notoriety following the Drake remix of his song “Tuesday” and will in fact be playing 1015 Folsom on a Tuesday; Oakland alt-rock outfit on the rise Day Wave (a.k.a. Jackson Phillips); Wax Idols, who released their third album, American Tragic, last fall and will play SF’s intimate Knockout; LA pop duo Puro Instinct; So Pitted; and many more. These new performers join the 2016 roster that spans many genres, including indie, jazz, pop and hip-hop. Among the acts taking the various stages of Noise Pop throughout the ten days of musical discovery and celebration this year are Metric, American Football, Drive Like Jehu (sold out), The Mountain Goats (sold out), Carly Rae Jepsen, Neon Indian, DIIV, Parquet Courts (sold out), Vince Staples (2 sold out shows), Bill Callahan (sold out), and Kamasi Washington (2 sold out shows). Noise Pop Festival General Music badges ($175), Film Series badges ($55), Music + Film Series badges ($215), and Super Fan badges ($375) are all on sale now, as are individual show tickets to all currently announced festival performances. Individual tickets for artists just announced today will go on sale Friday, January 29. An upgrade is also available via a promo code for those who have already purchased a Music badge and would like to change to a Music + Film Series badge.

If you are interested in catching a particular performance but the show is sold out, you can still purchase one of the festival badges, which grant access to all shows, space permitting. The General Music badge does not grant access to the film screenings and events, and the Film Series badge does not grant you access to music shows. Music + Film Series badges, on the other hand, grant you access to both music and film events. While Super Fan Badges guarantee access to all music shows and film screenings with red carpet treatment for the duration of the festival.
