Collaborating on the album are Sharon Court, Carolyn Thomas, Kerry Ironside, and Tiarna Madison.

From Perth, Western Australia, after a devastating car accident as a teenager, Michaels began playing guitar, awakening a sleeping giant of creativity. Since then, he’s written more than 100 songs and received global acclaim, heavy airplay, and international legions of fans, while performing throughout Australia and Asia, as well as China.

Incendiary Heart begins with “Darling It Hurts,” which opens on simmering colors riding a measured rhythm capped by a sparkling piano and coruscating guitar. Michaels’ voice evoked intense passion, as ardent vocal harmonies imbue the lyrics with smoldering potency.

“Rambling Man” travels on a beautiful folk-pop melody, as Michaels’ rich hushed voice infuses the tune with tantalizing wisps of velvety textures.

Highlights on the album include “Emerald Eyes,” featuring the delicious melodic voice of Tiarna Madison. The song opens on a thumping rhythm topped by an elegant yet compelling piano backed by gleaming strings.

“Rambling Man” travels on a beautiful folk-pop melody, as Michaels’ rich hushed voice infuses the tune with tantalizing wisps of velvety textures. Gently radiant vocal harmonies emerge in the backdrop, flavoring the music with soft trembling hues.

“Night and Day” delivers darker tones surging with ominous energy, as if deep resolves are surfacing. Powerful guitars infuse the harmonics with hefty tones, prior to the entry of a searing, risky guitar solo. “I Can Fly” opens on subtle textures, full of developing washes of color. A glorious violin injects tight gossamer filaments, as Michaels’ penetrating timbres charge the lyrics with embryonic electricity.

The last track on Incendiary Heart, “Planet 8,” features the scrumptiously rasping voice of Sharon Court, whose wonderfully chaffing tones give the lyrics delectable nuances of uneasiness.

With Incendiary Heart, Andy Michaels demonstrates his outstanding songwriting talent, fusing brilliant lyricism with inspired melodies.
